Emergency stop push buttons are available in Momentary (spring return), Push-Pull, Twist Release or Key Release. Key release is a good option if you prefer to control who is authorized to reset the emergency stop. Twist release is a popular choice because it’s more difficult to accidentally reset the emergency than the push-pull option which can be accidentally pulled in some instances. The momentary option is good if you just need a temporary signal.
Most options are UL/CSA listed, but there are a few items that only carry CE certification for those that are not concerned with UL/CSA listing. Often the units carrying only CE certification are the most economical.
