The FOX rotary gear limit switch by TER is a mechanical upgrade
over the more economical BASE unit.  It
features a larger shaft diameter, ball bearings for smoother rotation, and
switches with a rated mechanical life of 10million operations.  The shaft is typically attached to the shaft
of a sprocket or gear in the drive train and as the FOX shaft turns, it turns
the cams inside the switch according to the gear ratio.  For 75:1 ratio, the FOX shaft turns 75
rotations for 1 complete rotation of the cams inside.  Please note, the FOX uses “nominal” gear ratios
for the description, if the actual ratio differs it is shown in the description
in parenthesis. For highest accuracy, select a gear ratio that will use as much
of the full 360° rotation of the cams as possible.  Custom ratios are available.  The FOX is rated IP67 and rated for ambient temperatures
from -40°C
to +80°C,
making it suitable for the harshest environments.  The FOX can be configured with gear ratios
from 3:1 up to 2870:1 and can be configured with up to 6 switches each with
NO/NC contacts.  Standard shafts are made
from AISI430F stainless steel with 12mm (1/2” diameter).  Housing, and gears are made from techno-polymer.  FOX limit switches are UL listed, CSA
certified, and CE marked.  We also carry
